Remember September (and parts of October)

Here it is the 10th of October and I suddenly realized I didn't document any of September.  As soon as school started things just got so busy.  The (two older) girls are now doing gymnastics as well as Singers Company- which is this fun little singing class where they learn songs and motions and they have 2 performances a year.  Shelby and Joey both loooooove to sing so this is perfect for them.  I am hoping it will also help Joey with performing in front of people.  She is such a ham here at home but when she gets in front of people she clams up.  On top of those activities, Shelby's got Activity Days and run club.  On top of that, September and October tend to be very busy months for work, so I'm often working later than normal.  Things just get chaotic.  But the girls are pretty good at going with the flow and we managed to cram some fun things in.

My grandma and grandpa came to visit!  We feel very lucky to have gotten to see them twice this year!

We met up with my parents and grandparents at the Plano Balloon Festival.

Jeremy's dad came to visit for a few days!  The girls had a ton of fun making dubsmashes with him.

Football!

Shelby told me she could climb to the top of the rope in gymnastics and I didn't believe her.  Yep, she can.

Jeremy and I went with a group of friends to the Garth Brooks concert.  It was SO MUCH FUN.  He is one heck of an entertainer.

Joey was caught being nice to a classmate and got rewarded with free Chick Fil A.

Who falls asleep eating donuts?  It's hard being Lucy.

Shelby and I went with my mom to women's conference.  I think her favorite part might have been dessert. ;)

Ok, so this is actually a "live photo" but I don't think there is any way to share them (yet).  Catch up to the new iphones, internet.

Seriously wish everyone could see this one.  It's too cute.

The girls had Fair Day a week or so ago.  Hey Big Tex!

He couldn't pass up the deep fried red velvet cupcakes.

Last weekend we had General Conference.  We actually sat through all 4 sessions- didn't even have to DVR any, and the girls did really well!  I made cinnamon rolls Sunday morning.

Lunch in between the Saturday sessions.

The girls loved the conference center board again, although I might have to do some repair after some over eager pulling of pictures.

This was the first time we have brought the girls to Fright Fest at night.  We didn't realize they actually shut the kids stuff down early.  These two were a little apprehensive of the zombies at first, but then I bought them guns and they ran around "shooting" all the bad guys and had an awesome time.

Took the girls back to Six Flags today so they could do all the kid activities and again, they had a blast.

Shelby and Joey participated in the costume catwalk on the stage.  Lucy chickened out at the last second.

And of course, topped off our trip to Six Flags with some Costa Vida.
And that's about it.  Whew!  Hopefully I won't slack again and have to catch so much up at one time.  With all that we have going on for the rest of the month that would be one long post!
