Well, talk a lot is more like it! Shelby has been cracking us up lately. She seems to always have an opinion about something, and her imagination is really blossoming. Here are some of the funny things she has said in the past couple days:
-It's raining AGAIN? Expelliarmus, rain!
-My tummy hurts. Buuurp! It's all better now! (She actually said "burp", not really burped.)
-See my nakey buns? (As she turns around and shakes her hiney at us.)
-This show is AMAZING! (Talking about Hannah Montana. I left it on Disney too long.)
And then there are the sweet things she says:
-You're the best mommy, I'm the best baby.
-You're special. (At this point, I am going to hope that my two year old only knows one meaning for that word, and means it in the best possible way.)
-(While saying her prayer tonight) Thank you for Mommy. Thank you for Daddy. Thank you for Roxy. Thank you for me, Shelby.
Yes, we are thankful for you Shelby!

Labor Day
Last Wednesday night, Shelby and I flew down to New Orleans so that I could work in the office Thursday and Friday. My sister and niece, Brianne and Claire, met us at the hotel that night so that Shelby and Claire could play together on Thursday. They had such a great time playing dress up, singing "Once Upon a Dream", being mischievous, and playing at Chuck E. Cheese. To see the pics of their fun day, go here.
Friday night we headed over to Hattiesburg to spend time with Jeremy's extended family. We had a great visit, and Shelby had so much fun playing with Peyton and Audrey. They were laughing and squealing so much it was sometimes hard to hear anything in there! Shelby loves Papaw and Mamaw, and was very sad that we had to come home. She wanted to call Papaw today just to talk to him. (I shamefully did not take ANY pictures during the entire trip. Horrible, I know.)
We spent Labor Day driving home, but we were able to stop in Shreveport to meet up with our good friends, Andy and Michelle, at Copeland's for lunch. So glad we both happened to be driving through Shreveport at the same time!
Speaking of Labor Day, mine is April 19th. Well, estimated to be April 19th anyway. Yes, Shelby is going to be a big sister! This is what I contribute my lack of energy for taking pictures and posting on the blog to. We are super excited and can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl. (We will be excited for either, but the anal side of me HAS to know so that I can have everything ready beforehand.)
