5 months old today!

What a big girl.

Quick Note Before I Forget...

I keep forgetting to post Thanksgiving pictures. We had a good visit with Jeremy's family in Hattiesburg, and got to see his dad in Jackson on Friday. I think she had a good first Thanksgiving. She even took a really long nap after dinner. I guess she was practicing for years to come when she eats too much turkey!

Curiousity and the Cold

I love the look Shelby gets on her face when she investigates new things. It is so cute.

I didn't think I would even need to get Shelby a hat, seeing as how it really doesn't get too cold here. But I forget that what might not be cold to me, might be freezing to Shelby. So I had to go get her a little hat when it got below 60 degrees.

Catchin' Up

The past two weeks are a blur. I guess it is good that the days are going by quickly with Jeremy gone, but it seems sometimes I don't even have time to breathe! Just a few random updates:

Shelby had another doctor's appointment last Thursday. She weighed 19 lbs! But she is also 25.5" tall, so she is not a complete butterball- though she does sport some mighty cute rolls! Anyway, Shelby did not even cry when she got her shots. SHE LAUGHED! She was such a good girl. I think she hated the Tylenol more than the shots.

Also this past week, I was excited when I saw that Shelby's birth certificate came in the mail. Until I opened it. Do you think that the state of Louisiana could spend $50 to replace the 1987 printer? Look at this thing! It seriously looks like they printed it off the printer my dad owned in the 80s. And they couldn't even line up the type on the lines. It is so ghetto. I know it's not important, but it is annoying.

Today was our Thanksgiving potluck at work. I brought two turkeys. One actual, real turkey (my first time cooking a turkey!), and this one:

Veruca Salt

Shelby couldn't just play with ONE toy. She had to have one for each hand. She figured out that she could put her arm through the ring from the duck and have that hand free to play with the keys.

Children's Museum

Today we went to the Children's Museum. I know Shelby won't remember it, but she'll have pictures of it and know that we took her there and spent time with her.

It's King Friday from Mr. Rogers!
