The baptism went great. Couple little snafu's- when I made the program I totally listed my sisters with their maiden names instead of married names. I never even realized it until my mom pointed it out. Haha! Also, when Jeremy went to baptize Shelby he stumbled on the words and had to start over twice. He knew exactly what to say but for some reason was just nervous and was tripping over his words. Afterwards we had cookies and lemonade, and then raced back to all eat dinner at mom and dad's house. I had made 5 roasts for bbq sandwiches, homemade coleslaw (that I still think is the best ever) and homemade pineapple upside down cake. It was nice having both our families all together to celebrate Shelby.
The 4th of July was a long, hot day. We packed in a lot- Rockwall parade, lunch at Culver's, swimming at mom and dad's, dinner at Moe's, then to see Sister Sledge and fireworks.
The next couple days there was lots more cousin swimming and even a puppet show. We love seeing all the cousins playing together- so glad they have gotten the chance to see them fairly regularly. If only we could get ALL the cousins together that often!
We are so proud of Shelby's decision to get baptized. She took it very seriously and took all the discussions with the missionaries beforehand and really made it her choice. Thank you to all our family who could come for the weekend and help make it special!
