The past month has been exciting for Lucy. She is now a full fledged crawler! No more going backwards or in circles for her! She is getting faster and faster every day- nothing is safe. She especially likes doorstops and cords. She loves her baby food- and not just the fruits! She loves all sorts of weird combos, like broccoli/peas/pears and sweet potatoes/white beans. She can drink from a sippy cup and feed herself puffs. She is sleeping much better these days too. We put her down around 8:30 or 9, and until 12 she usually wakes up a couple of times. She will go right back to sleep as soon as we go in and tuck her back in. We are trying not to go in every time she wakes up, and she is better about laying back down herself and falling back asleep. After about 12 she is usually out for the night. She said dada on Wednesday! Gotta give Jeremy one out of the three, I guess! Actually, it is fitting she would say dada first since she is becoming quite the daddy's girl. I think between me being sick last weekend and going on the temple trip with the youth on Tuesday night, she got very attached to him. She gets really excited to see him, and gets very upset with him if he doesn't pay enough attention to her or he walks out of the room. She did say mama today, but it was a one time thing and hasn't repeated it yet.
We did have a scare yesterday. We were in the office, and Lucy was on the floor playing, like usual. We were not far from her, and we saw nothing on the ground, but all of a sudden I looked over and saw Lucy choking on something. I yelled for Jeremy (I will catch a child's vomit in my hands, but I panic in choking situations) and he grabbed her and swiped his finger in her throat but nothing was there. Of course that made her spit up but still we didn't see anything. Whatever it was, she had swallowed it and we could tell it was uncomfortable because for a while it looked like she was swallowing really hard, like still trying to get it down. We can't figure out what it could have been. We have been checking her diaper for the last 24 hours, but nothing yet. If she doesn't pass anything by Monday we may take her in for an x-ray. I don't want it to block anything or cause any problems, whatever it is.
