This girl melts my heart. She really talks a lot now. Some of the cute things she says are:
- Hi guys!
- Bye guys!
- Thank you!
- Love you!
- Shelby, eh awww you? (Shelby, where are you?)
- Dooby Dooby Doo! (Scooby Dooby Doo!)
- Essssss you! (Bless you!)
- Oxy! Hush! (Roxy! Hush!)
- Get away from me! (OK, this one isn't so cute.)
- More cereal please!
She says so much more but it's late and my brain isn't fully functioning. I just wanted to write down a few things, especially since I have been feeling guilty lately about the lack of info I have recorded in her baby book.
Joey loves to sing. I put the Primary CD in the car today and she was trying to sing all the words to all the songs, even though she was just hearing some of them for the first time. Her favorite songs to sing are "Popcorn Popping", "I Love you" (The Barney Song), and "Baby" (Justin Bieber).
She can be really stubborn and opinionated at times, but super sweet others. She is also very shy and flirty with guys. Yesterday we went to eat at this Irish pub for St. Patrick's Day and she kept smiling at the old man at the table next to us, but whenever he would say something to her she would bury her head in my shoulder.
Joey has also been very cuddly lately. She LOVES to lay in my lap and watch Scooby Doo. In fact, she really just likes to sit in my lap and do anything. If I walk into the playroom where she is and sit down, she will promptly get up and come sit in my lap, and then continue to play with whatever she was playing with. The other day I was doing Ab Ripper X in the playroom and pretty much did the whole thing WITH Joey on my stomach. I couldn't get her off.
But, as cuddly as she can be with me, do not be fooled. She does not like other kids to get in her face. I always ask the nursery leaders how Joey did when I pick her up. The past two weeks I have been told she has been aggressive. I asked if it was provoked or if she just randomly went up to kids and hit them (not that it matters, both are wrong) and it was becauses other kids got too close. She likes her personal space. I am pretty sure that is characteristic of a lot of two year olds (or almost two year olds), and I am sure Joey is guilty of invading other kids' spaces as well. We'll just have to try and teach her that not all kids want to take her toys.
Anyway, just a few things I wanted to record about that sweet little munchkin.
