Today we had Shelby's 2nd birthday party. Since she is currently obsessed with Clifford the Big Red Dog, it was the obvious choice for a party theme. I learned my lesson from last year and just planned a low key party here at the house. We started off by wearing Clifford ears and coloring while Jeremy cooked the hot dogs and hamburgers. After we ate we had cake and ice cream. I made Shelby's dog bowl cake myself. Although it didn't turn out quite as I had hoped, I was still pretty proud since it was my first time working with fondant. The rest of the party the kids spent in the pool, hitting the pinata, and opening presents. Shelby had such a great time. She really wore herself out and took a three hour nap. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate!
Also, I promised Brianne I would post some pictures of the house. It still isn't "just right" yet- we don't have any pictures hung or anything- but at least it was clean! ;) We are ALMOST done with our room. We still need a coat of paint of the wainscoting so that it doesn't look beige/gray. It is supposed to be bright white (I said that in my Crash Test Dummies voice). We also still need to buy a formal dining set and a dresser but oh well...
