Shelby Turns 9!

Shelby takes after Jeremy in that as soon as her birthday month hits we are on the countdown to her birthday.  There are lots of hints and reminders and lists of things she wants for her birthday strategically placed around the house.  To say she gets excited about her birthday is an understatement.  So even though I told the girls no parties this year, I did my best to make her day special.  I woke up extra early that morning to get my workout in and get over to pick up her special doughnuts so that they'd be ready and waiting when she woke up (should have known she'd be up extra early that morning and was waiting on me when I got home- oops.).  We then brought the girls and one of Shelby's best friends (Landree) to Six Flags.  It was so hot, but lines weren't long, so we rode a ton and had lots of fun.  At the end we got a ginormous funnel cake and sang Happy Birthday to Shelby.  We challenged the girls to eat the whole thing...they couldn't.  Happy Birthday, Shelby!
