Valentine's Day 2015

The girls had a lot of fun with Valentine's Day this year.  Things have been a bit busy with work for both Jeremy and me, so we didn't do too many activities leading up to the big day.  The girls were both excited about their class parties- especially Joey.  She loved telling us what boys were her Valentines.  She had a lot of fun making her "Sam the Lovebird" box.  She is such a character- on the way home from her party she was "feeding" Sam snacks and yelling at him to get his seat belt on, and then she said, "And I don't want to hear NO attitude about it!".

For Shelby's party, the class got ice cream sundaes and played minute to win it games.  They had a lot of fun, and again, it was really fun to see Shelby with her friends.  If I haven't said it before, I'll say it again- I am really happy with our move.  I know that we bought our house in Oak Point for a reason (we knew we'd be able to make a profit on it after a few years), but there weren't a ton of friends close around us.  We are lucky here that Shelby has a few friends in her class that live just around the corner from us and they are all such sweet girls.

Jeremy and I went out on a double date Friday night.  We dubbed it our "Redneck Valentine's Day"- went to the shooting range and then Babe's.  It was fun though!

Saturday morning the girls had pink pancakes with whipped cream and heart sprinkles, and then we let them open their presents.  We decided not to wait until we were at the airport to tell them we were going to Disneyland like we did last year.  Instead the plan was to give it to them as their gift for Valentine's Day so that we could do a fun count down.  I think we have the most ungrateful kids ever.  Will they ever show excitement when we tell them we are going to DL?!  They pretty much had the same reaction as last year.

Today they were more excited about it- we'll just blame it on it having been an early morning yesterday. :)

We then went on a family date down to the Bishop Arts District- ate some Mexican food and some pie, and called it a night.  All-in-all it was a great Valentine's Day.  I love my family!
