Busy Bees

Last weekend we went to Bastrop to visit Mamaw and Papaw Jordan. We left on Friday night and stayed in a hotel because it just makes the trip so much easier than driving the 4 hours there EARLY in the morning and 4 hours back late that same night. When we got to the nursing home on Saturday, Shelby saw Mamaw waiting by the door, so she ran up and gave her a huge hug. We had a great visit with Mamaw at the nursing home and got to eat lunch with her. Shelby had so much fun showing off for her. I didn't get any pictures at the nursing home. I am so horrible about remembering to pull the camera out unless someone reminds me. Usually I am too busy trying to keep Shelby from getting into things she isn't supposed to.

After the nursing home we went over to visit Papaw. Again, Shelby loved showing off and being the center of attention. We had gotten her a new princess puzzle and she couldn't wait to put it together with Jeremy and Papaw. (I actually got some pics at Papaw's because he reminded me to get the camera out!)

Monday, March 1st, was Jeremy's 28th birthday! We didn't do anything especially grand this year to celebrate, mostly because I just didn't have the energy (sorry Jeremy), but we had a good time eating pizza and playing Wii with friends. Happy Birthday, Jeremy!

Later in the week, it was finally warm enough to play outside. Shelby loves drawing on the sidewalk with her chalk. She loves to make rainbows and will sit and work on a picture until it is, as she says, "perfect". She really can't wait until it is warm enough to wear her new ballerina bathing suit, but it will be a couple more months before we can do that.

Saturday was Shelby's sibling class at the hospital. She couldn't wait to go to "school". She got to make a sign that she will bring to the hospital when Joey is born that says she is the big sister. She also watched a movie about being a sibling, learned how to wrap and hold babies, and got to see the maternity ward. I think she is ready for Joey to be here!
