Whoops
While Jeremy was mowing the lawn tonight, I decided to take Shelby and run some errands. My last stop was Walgreens. We were in and out. As I was putting Shelby in the car, I had my keys in my hands, and I must have accidentally hit the lock button and didn't hear it. I threw my keys on the seat, finished buckling Shelby in, then shut the door. When I got to my side, I realized it was locked. I ran around to Shelby's window to see if she could open the door, but she couldn't reach the lock with her seat belt on. I ran inside to call Jeremy and realized he wouldn't hear the phone, because he was out doing yard work. So I called 911, and they promptly sent over a firetruck and a policeman. As the fireman was working to unlock the car, his Slim Jim broke...so they had to bust out a window. I really didn't care, I just wanted Shelby out. She was a little sweaty, but she was fine. She was mostly just excited to see the firemen and policemen. Jeremy had a pretty good sense of humor about it and we laughed when I got home. I guess the next car we get will have Onstar.

uh oh!! A couple of months ago Leila and Cole went to play in the garage and got in my car and although the car was unlocked they couldn't get the door open. I don't think they even tried to open it actually!! They were so hot and sweaty and I felt so bad but mad at the same time!
AHHH!!!! I would be excited about the firemen too!! haha
ohh THAT IS SO SCARY, i JUST HEARD ABOUT ANOTHER ONE OF MY FRIENDS THAT THIS SAME THING HAPPENED TO! CRAZY!
Yup - I think we all know a friend or two who has done that exact same thing. I mean down to the fireman breaking a window and the kiddo just being a little sweaty. Sorry girl! I know that's scary!
That is so scary. This is the second blog of this type of story that I've read in a week... yikes! Glad you got her out ok.
