It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

We kicked off the Christmas season Monday night by baking and decorating sugar cookies. I think Shelby's favorite part was the sprinkles. Just as we were cleaning Shelby up, we heard a light tapping outside. I looked out, and it was lightly snowing. It only lasted about 10 minutes, but it was a perfect way to kick off Christmas.

Last night we went to see Santa. Shelby was not scared of him at all. In fact, she didn't want to wait her turn to jump in his lap. She kept saying, "Claus! Claus!". However, despite her liking for Santa, we could not get a very good picture of her. She kept looking at the photographer like she was nuts for waving this stuffed reindeer above her head and yelling, "Shelby! Shelby!". So this is what we got. I think it is still pretty cute, but I'm biased.

Oh my gosh, I think the picture of her looking at Santa is way better than looking at the photographer anyways, it's like she's really telling him what she wants! I love it! And isn't the little snow just fun--it sounds like yours was absolutely perfect timing. I love it!

Wow- you're the first person I've ever heard of that didn't have their child cry when visiting Santa Claus (while they're under age 3). I've never even attempted it with Peyton because I know he'd never sit still for all that- he'd be too busy trying to dismantle all of the decorations everywhere! Good for you Shelby! She looks super cute Aidan!

She is so good. Ethan would have torn off the beard and who knows what. :-)

What a great picture. I love that she looks like she is trying to tell him what she wants to find under the christmas tree! I haven't taken mine to see him yet...we'll see how it goes. I can't believe that she didn't cry....amazing!
