I love the Olympics. Of course I have my favorite sports to watch- gymnastics, swimming, track- but I will watch anything, including badminton. When the Olympics come on, I suddenly become this sports nut- jumping up and down and screaming.
THIS was awesome! I totally thought the French had it. But no, dude came up from behind and beat him. I was literally jumping up and down on the bed screaming. I cannot believe I didn't wake Shelby up.

Olivia and I watched women's gymnastics last night and then she wanted to stay up practicing for her Olympic debut. This morning we are watching swimming and beach volleyball. Taylor and Olivia both asked if we could go to Beijing to watch in person.

OMG, Aidan - I just HAD to comment on this (I saw your blog off Brianne's) Anyway, we watched the swim race as well and were FREAKING out! The french had made all those comments about squashing the Americans - and then to see Jason pull it out in the last 50 meters was AMAZING! I even got a little teary eyed, it was so amazing!
We saw it too! It was AWESOME! I loved the expression on the French guys' face since he was the one talking all that smack about 'smashing the Americans'. Boo yah! I guess that put him in his place not to talk trash before you begin a race. :-)
No doubt! This was one of the greatest come from behind victories ever. Gave me chills. Stick it Frenchies!!
I saw that one too and couldn't believe it! Even when I watch the replays I think, "How on earth did that happen?" Gotta love the Olympics!
